The 'NEW' Kid on the Block

Since his 10 length win at his jumping debut back in March, Renew has really showed his rivals what he’s made of with a string of impressive performances over the obstacles. Following another easy win over the Oakbank Carnival at start number two he went to the Warrnambool Carnival where he took out the feature $125,000 Galleywood Hurdle – passing the post 9 lengths clear of any other horse.

Renew’s most recent victory came on Saturday at Sandown when he was saddled up in the $125,000 Australian Hurdle with Johnny Allen back on board. Rolling forward to his usual ‘on pace’ position, he settled down into a steady rhythm, jumping each hurdle beautifully. Approaching the 600m Johnny asked him for a bit more and with his usual response, Renew extended his lead, running on for another uber-impressive 7 length victory – making it four from four over the hurdles!

Congratulations to OTI and everyone involved!
