Sutanoc Joins Team For Ballarat Cup Day

Sutanoc will be one of a big team the Darren Weir stable will have just out the backdoor at Sunday's Ballarat Cup meeting, following his brilliant win at Geelong. Beautifully ridden by heavyweight jockey Brad Rawiller, Sutanoc got the run on the fence soon after straightening then opened up a winning break. A recent addition to the stable, he will run in a 1200m Rating 68 Handicap on Sunday. Previously trained by Simon Mahony who won four races with him, Sutanoc was bought privately recently and he's now raced by form analyst Mark Hunter along with Tony Bates, Tanya Hussey, Troy Little and Debbie Deakes. Earlier in the day, "Weiry'' won a 1000m Maiden with Wallington Flyer at the Donald Cup meeting.
