Star Shines Bright in the West

The thrill of another Group 1 victory buzzed through the stable over the weekend when Stratum Star showed his Western Australian rivals how it’s done, taking out the $1 million Kingston Town Classic at Ascot in exciting fashion! Star settled into stable life over in WA a couple of weeks ago and with his target set for the race on Saturday the nerves pre-race were definitely high. Jumping from the inside gate with Damian Lane on board, Star found himself a beautiful position just behind the pace. Entering the straight and with the run appearing Star began to reel in the leader and in an outstanding finish he got up in the last stride to get his second taste of Group 1 glory by the smallest of margins. With the celebrations well and truly in full swing over the weekend it was fantastic to see a stable favourite back in the Group 1 winners stall where he belongs.
