Stable Brings Up The Century

The Darren Weir stable brought up a century of winners for the season when Hot Pies showed no signs of getting the "Colliwobbles" leading most of the way in a 1100m Maiden at Horsham. The three-year-old filly having only her second start, is raced by Rob Rogalski who purchased her as a weanling for $10,000 along with his brother Daniel and son Jamie. All three are avid Collingwood supporters and the filly carries the club's black and white club colours with a Magpie logo. Rogalski also has a share in stablemate Ocean Mist which won her only three starts before going to the paddock. Hot Pies' win continued the success for the stable with Seagard winning a 1300m Maiden at Swan Hill last Friday. Later in the evening ultra consistent mare Music Shop recorded an overdue win at Moonee Valley. The four-year-old mare had been placed at her previous four stats. Another four-year-old mare Spartini burst through the $100,000 barrier when comprehensively winning the final race on the inaugural stand alone 'Golden Mile Day' at Bendigo on Saturday. The daughter of Marmottan has been in outstanding form, winning four of her past five starts this preparation.
