There's an old saying, "Patience is a virtue." If there's any doubters, just ask the owners of Gotta Keep Cool, who came from last in the six-horse field to win over 2600m at Morphettville last Saturday. He is raced by Ian, Graeme and Phillip Wood, who have enjoyed success recently with Gotta Keep Cool’s half brother Gotta Take Care. The win was the gelding's first since defeating Zavite in the Hobart Cup nearly two years ago. A "certainty beaten" at the same track a week earlier when locked up on the fence, Gotta Keep Cool was Darren Weir's third win for the day after a double at Stawell with Tiger's Caddy and Love My World. Both were ridden by Garry Murphy who's had a long and successful association with the stable. To complete a successful weekend for the stable, Hurdy Gurdy Man became the fourth winner for the stable when winning at Ballarat on Sunday.
