Music Shop Brings Up Century Of Wins

The return to form win of Music Shop in the heavy ground at Ballarat last Thursday, was a significant one for her trainer Darren Weir. She brought up his 100th win in Victoria this season. Perfectly ridden by Michelle Payne, Music Shop overhauled the leaders passing the 200m to register the victory which was her first since an all-the-way win at Pakenham back in October before going for a five month spell. He had serious considered withdrawing her on race eve due to the track conditions. However, the fact that the meeting was "just out the backdoor convinced "Weiry to run her and find out if she handled the heavy going.
