Happy Days

Leica Day continued on with his winning ways at Hamilton on Sunday when he saluted in the $60,000 2016 Hamilton Cup over 2200m.

Sent out at short priced favourite, he definitely didn’t disappoint. Ridden a treat by Johnny Allen he found himself settling on the fence just off mid field after jumping from the outside barrier. Travelling well approaching the 600m he just needed a bit of luck and when the run finally appeared turning for home he took over and went on to win by two and a quarter lengths over Viva Espana and Sun Disk.

It was another very pleasing performance from Leica Day who has now won 8 races from his 19 start career. Congratulations to his big bunch of owners!

It has been a great couple of weeks for country cups for the team, also taking out the Avoca Cup with Count of Limonade last Saturday.
