Fitting Win From Cash Bound

It was fitting one of Darren Weir's most successful owners Gerry Ryan won first-up with Cash Bound last Wednesday at Bendigo. His company Jayco Caravans sponsored the feature race, the $200,000 Bendigo Cup.

Cash Bound, winner of two of his only five starts, was having his first run since Anzac Day in a 1100m Class 1. A Moonee Valley two-year-old winner last campaign before being placed in the SA Sires' Produce Stakes at Morphettville, Cash Bound made light of his 59kg coming from near last before sprinting away for an easy win. Originally set for the Group 2 Sandown Guineas, a setback has caused a changed in plans.

He will now be taken through the grades and may head towards a $100,000 3YO race at Moonee Valley on December 16.
