Streaky Fella is off on an "overseas trip after his courageous last stride win in a 2400m Rating 94 at Morphettville last Saturday. His immediate mission now is the $255,000 Launceston Cup over 2400m next Wednesday. Last Saturday after being badly held up for a run with 200m to run, Streaky Fella picked himself up and got up in the last bound to score in a three-way photo finish. The gelding was perfectly placed by trainer Darren Weir. Following a 3kg allowance for stable apprentice Jacob Rule, he carried only 53.5kg. The five-year-old son of Street Cry is raced by Peter Rigby along with David Mason and David Nolan. The win last Saturday was "Weiry's eighth individual in Adelaide this season taking his overall tally to 12 wins from 18 starters.
