Donald Domination

After a quiet week the stable was back firing at Donald with 3 winners.

The day kicked off with Miss Thunder Road winning the 1200m Maiden Plate on debut.

The 5 year old mare has had her fair share of issues which has unfortunately delayed her racing career and she still has a lot to learn as she was quite green in the home straight. But she was simply too good for her rivals, winning by 2 lengths to stablemate Snow Grumpy.

Mac’s Mettle charged away in the next maiden race to win by over 4 lengths. With the blinkers on for the first time Johnny Allen urged him forward from the outside gate to land in the one out one back position. Ask any jockey and this is not always easy to do, but everything just worked out perfectly and he was able to get the job done easily.

The third winner for the day was the ghostly grey Lethal. The Aussie Rules gelding has been quite disappointing this preparation but with a top ride again from Johnny hopefully this will give him the confidence booster he needs to go on and win more races.
