After a strong win in the $200,000 Country Cup Final at Flemington on Oaks Day, Another Coldie (above) continued on his winning run when he made it two in a row with a fighting victory in the $50,000 Donald Cup on Sunday. Starting a short priced favourite with jockey Dean Yendall on board, the four-old-old entire jumped away well but eased back to find himself in the box seat position in the field of six. Peeling off their backs as they turned into the straight he travelled strongly but when La Fleurette loomed up to his outside Another Coldie had to dig deep and fight all the way to the line where he prevailed by a neck. Another Coldie has been an ever-honest performer having won six races with a further four minor placings from his fifteen start career.

The day finished with a winning double for the team and Dean Yendall after Storm Harbour (below) got the job done in the final event of the day. Following his maiden victory at start number three, the three-year-old went back-to-back with a half-length victory in the Mount Jeffcott Hotel Benchmark 64 Handicap.

Congratulations to everyone involved and here’s hoping these two can continue on with their winning form!
