Country Cups Double

Something to Share and Rainbow Storm shared in the riches of the country cups circuit over the weekend.

Something to Share was out to go one step better this year in the St.Arnaud Cup and came up trumps by the narrowest of margins.

Jockey Johnny Allen rode a patient race towards the rear of the field and timed his run to perfection to reel in Caves who had a six length lead approaching the home turn. With many owners on track it was great to see their patience rewarded as over the years he has been scratched at the barriers many times for refusing to load.

Rainbow Storm added to his Cups collection with a dominant 4 length win in the Hamilton Cup. Rainbow Storm won the Murtoa Cup last year and equalled Hurdy Gurdy Man in his back to back Cup wins.

Rainbow Storm will now go on to run over the Flemington Carnival, whilst Something To Share will contest his hometown Cup at Ararat on the 8th of November.
