Black Bart Impresses At Bendigo

Impressive Testa Rossa colt Bart Bart gave Tony and Lynn Ottobre there first winner for the Darren Weir stable when finishing resolutely to take out a 1300m Maiden at Bendigo last Sunday. Understandably the Melbourne couple were "stoked" with their horse’s performance, who was having just his second start. Tony runs LED Technologies which makes rear lights for trucks and trailers. Black Bart which was purchased by "Weiry" for $85,000 as a yearling at the 2010 Easter Sales in Sydney, was ridden by leading jockey Brad Rawiller. The owner was keen for Brad to ride as he worked with Brad’s father Keith many years ago at Flemington. He may now head towards the $90,000 Bendigo Guineas over 1400m at Bendigo’s ‘stand alone’ meeting on March 17. This race contains a $50,000 Inglis Bonus. Several hours after the Bendigo win, the stable completed a double with Owners Priority being successful at Hamilton.
