Bart’s All Heart

Since coming to the stable at the start of 2016 Black Heart Bart’s outstanding form read as 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 9th, 2nd heading into his second up assignment in the first Group 1 of the year, the $500,000 CF ORR Stakes on Saturday. With the aim of getting his fourth group one win on the board and his 15th win overall and having only been beaten at Caulfield by the mighty mare Winx he was race favourite and definitely didn’t let his admirers down. Jumping from barrier 11 with Brad Rawiller on board he settled midfield out 3 wide but with a nice trail into it he found himself peeling out four wide at the top of the straight and quickly reeling in the leader. We all watched in awe as he took over at the 200m mark and went on for a magnificent 1 length victory over Turn Me Loose. With the win taking his total earn to over $3 million it was a thrilling day for all the connections involved in this champion and with our eyes on the Futurity Stakes in a couple of weeks time we can only hope that Bart can make it back to back and salute for his fifth career Group 1 victory.
