Back to Back Stakes Wins

Stratum Star secured his first black type win in the Listed Yellowglen Vintage Stakes over 1400m, before taking the glory again in the Listed Crown Lager Stakes at Caulfield in a more convincing manner.

Both wins have seen him settle back in the field, with Brad guiding him into clear running in the home straight. He now has the opportunity to add the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes to his resume on Derby Day.

Lucky Hussler followed up with an emotional win for jockey Glen Boss in the Group 3 Moonga Stakes.

From barrier 13, he rode the perfect race, settling back towards the rear of the field, before circling the field rounding the home turn. He cleared away from his rivals in the straight to win by 3 lengths hardly touched.

On returning to the mounting yard, Glen dedicated the win to young Caitlin Forest who passed away following a race fall at Murray Bridge.

Lucky Hussler will now contest the Group 1 Emirates Stakes on the final day of the carnival and no doubt Caitlin will be cheering him home.
