A ‘stylish’ win before Tom breaks his drought at The Valley

Stylish Miss found winning form for the second time this preparation when she recorded her first Victorian Saturday city class win at Moonee Valley. Crossing the field from the widest barrier, she put in a fighting ‘all the way’ performance over the mile trip to narrowly hold off Mamzelle Tess and get her eight career win on the board.

With Stylish Miss leading the entirety against the girls it was Black Tomahawk who got the team a winning double with a surprising ‘last to first’ victory in the Open 2040m Handicap at 50-1 odds. Under a terrific ride from Jye Mcneil, he was allowed to find his feet behind a fast pace and settled down at the tail of the field before getting a rails run through and peeling off their backs at the 300m to go on for a narrow but albeit strong win. Black Tomahawks last victory was on the 26th of September 2015, meaning he broke a 630 day drought!! Hopefully with the win under his belt he can go on to many more as he continues to step out in trip at his starts to come.
